The global business school, IMD released its latest rankings of the countries based on their abilities to attract, develop and retain the talent and in the list India has climbed up to rank 51.

Switzerland topped the list followed by Denmark and Belgium.

Though India climbed up in attracting the talent it has not been successful I terms of investment in education as a percentage of GDP.

According to the rankings, India is among the bottom five countries in terms of investment in education.

“India needs to emphasize the education system as a key to prosperity. It also needs to prevent brain drain by providing better opportunities to local talent,” says Arturo Bris, Head of Competitiveness, IMD Switzerland.
